METOCHEM PS-1-B
(Non-flammable, Solvent based Enamel & Coating Remover)
METOCHEM PS-1 is effective in removing varnishes, insulations and enamels from copper wires. It is also widely used for quick removal of powder coatings and other organic coatings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals without attacking the base surface. METOCHEM PS-1 may also be used for removal of various coatings from non-metals such as Wood, Glass and Ceramics.
APPLICATIONS:
1. For removal of Enamel and Insulations from Copper Wire :
Keep the bunch of Copper wires continuously immersed in METOCHEM PS-1 for 1 – 5 minutes and the enamel will be loosened completely, then simply wipe it off with dry cloth. Dip only the portion from which enamel has to be removed (METOCHEM PS -1 may not be effective on certain insulations).
2. For removal of Powder Coatings & other Organic Coatings :
Simply dip the articles or parts directly in METOCHEM PS-1 solution without mixing or dilution at room temperature for 2 to 10 minutes or more. The coating will start to blister slowly. Once the coating has sufficiently loosened take the parts out of the bath and remove coating with the help of water jet or manually and then wipe off with dry cloth. If parts are kept in METOCHEM PS-1 for a longer duration, then coating will get removed inside the solution, which may then weaken the strength of solution.
