To produce a bright finish on certain copper and brass alloys we recommend the use of our Metochem CU2 which removes the oxides film instantly and produces a very bright finish. The parts should be immediately washed with water preferably twice.(As an after treatment dipping in 2% Anti tarnish is suggested to prevent tarnishing of the bright metal parts.)

Metochem CU1 is an acidic type liquid chemical used for brightening of brass or copper parts, components or for cleaning of old tarnished parts or for plating pretreatments. It does not interfere with welding or soldering operations. The film produced is integral part of the base metal, having unimolecular thickness. It is exceptionally ductile and when coupled with an organic paint film, will give excellent bonding as well as corrosion protection.
